EuroHPC AI Factories (December 2024 → October 2025)
Claim
The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (a joint EU supercomputing program) has chosen 19 AI Factories across 16 EU member states, in three rounds: seven in December 2024 (Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden), six in March 2025 (Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Poland, Slovenia), and six in October 2025 (Czech Republic, Lithuania, Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Poland). On top of that, 13 smaller AI Factory “Antennas” were chosen in Belgium, Cyprus, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Malta, Slovakia, Iceland, Moldova, North Macedonia, Serbia, Switzerland and the UK. The combined EU-and-member-state commitment is more than €2.6–2.7 billion.
