EuroHPC AI Gigafactories call (30 July 2026) [Added v0.7.1]
Claim
The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking opened the formal call for seven AI Gigafactories on 30 July 2026: €10 billion in public funding intended to mobilise at least €20 billion more in private investment, each site to hold at least 100,000 advanced AI chips. Bids close 12 November 2026; awards are expected in early 2027, with operations targeted about 18 months after selection. Ten member states signalled hosting interest (Germany, Italy, France, Poland, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Portugal, Spain).
