Mistral AI Series C (9 September 2025)
Claim
Mistral AI raised €1.7 billion in a Series C funding round led by ASML (which put in €1.3 billion for about an 11% stake once all shares are counted), valuing the company at €11.7 billion afterward. DST Global, Andreessen Horowitz, Bpifrance, Lightspeed, Nvidia and others also took part. It is the largest single private investment in a European AI model company so far, and puts France at Level 4 on the AI-SAF-N Models scale.
