Paris AI Action Summit (10–11 February 2025)
Claim
The third international AI summit, held at the Grand Palais in Paris, produced the “Statement on Inclusive and Sustainable Artificial Intelligence,” signed by 61 countries and bodies including France, China, India, Japan, Australia, Canada and the EU. The United States and United Kingdom refused to sign; U.S. Vice President JD Vance criticised European AI rules in a Tuesday speech, while the UK government said the statement lacked enough substance on global governance. India, the co-chair, was named as host of the next event, the New Delhi AI Impact Summit (February 2026).
